White And Blue Wedding Gowns

My friend's wedding raised a problem regarding the theme. She is very found of two colors blue and red. Since we have made acquaintance I remember her wearing these colors, either combined or separate. In fact her wardrobe was a shrine dedicated to blue and red. Now with her upcoming wedding she saw herself facing a big dilemma: which color would her wedding gown be? Her mother had always seen her wearing the traditional white for her wedding day, but my friend was stubborn in her decision not to choose for the wedding dress the common white. So we started one day to check on the last models of wedding dresses available on websites. She wanted to see what were the last releases in regard to the bridal fashion, to the styles, and she needed to show her mother that there were actually brides wearing not only the old white color for their special day.

The bridal sites were rich in a variety of designs, colors, combination of colors as well; it seemed that there wasn't something a bride might wish and not to be found in these sites. Long, trained dresses, with ruffles or without, with sleeves or without, strapped or strapless, short wedding dresses suitable for beach themed weddings, dresses in red, in blue, in green, in combination of gold with burgundy, of white and green, even the dark blue was present to be the color of a wedding attire. She showed a particular interest in one red wedding gown which was very sensual and rich in ruffles on the long bell shaped skirt, but when her mother saw it, she turned around in distress, telling her that she would be very disappointed if her daughter will prefer such an audacious choice of a wedding gown.

My friend was caught in between. She really wanted something special, something to make her look different than a common bride, and at the same time she would have preferred not to make her mother that upset. We kept up looking for a gown and suddenly an idea struck my friend: what if she would try to search for something that combined her taste for red or blue and the white that her mother liked? This being decided we started looking for combination of white and red or white and blue wedding gowns. And the bridal websites displayed various dresses made in either red/blue fabric having white embroideries patterns incorporated in the design, or other way around.

I advised her to pick up the blue for a change; red seemed to me a little bit too extreme even if it came in combination with white. We came across one site that displayed dresses for different occasions, balls, weddings, social events, cocktail parties, and the over all color of the fabric was blue - light blue, royal blue, turquoise, and we could find also white and blue wedding gowns in a diversity of styles. Browsing further into these last versions, my friend finally set her mind on a white strapless dress with a sweetheart neckline, the taffeta bodice embroidered with a nice blue floral pattern that continued cascading down in a spiral around the bell shaped long skirt. On top of it a delicate ¾ sleeved bolero made of blue floral embroidered lace was also available. Showing this choice to her mother, we finally saw a smile on her face and since everybody proved to be satisfied with the decision, my friend made the further moves in ordering the wedding dress that emphasized her style and personality as well.
