Wedding Gowns Inspired by Grace Kelley




There is a trend in fashion, especially in the wedding fashion, for the women to imitate the style of an actress in the way they dress or look. Grace Kelly is an example that states the tendency of the young ladies to appear stylish and classy at their wedding event.

Grace Kelly was an American film and stage actress and at the same time a fashion icon. When she married to Prince Rainier of Monaco, their marriage was known to be the “marriage of the century”, due both of their status as celebrities and Grace Kelly’s wedding dress. From that moment her style was copied in wedding design by many fashion designers. Wedding gowns inspired by Grace Kelly are very sophisticated yet rendering the image of delicacy and simpleness, yet a simpleness rich in elaborate design.

Public interest in the star’s wedding dress was intense and still is, since it is considered the most popular object in the Museum’s collection.

As a princess, Grace Kelly continued to be an icon for the fashion with her natural sense of style. But if we think better we can say that through her way of being, Grace Kelly lived up to the beauty of the name itself, raising her life and status to the nobility of a life full of refinement and delicacy.
