The wedding gown is part of a bride’s life it is not a simple dress that the bride wears it once in life. In some families there is even a tradition to keep a wedding dress as a heritage for future brides in the family. It is an honor after all to have such thing. But modern world comes with new things and makes such facts to disappear. The brides are no longer interested in old, vintage dresses.




They want something more stylish. And so they think those that are already marred and those that get prepared for this. Why both sides? The ex-brides let’s say consider to sell their wedding dresses and the future brides consider to save some money and buy a used or preowned wedding gown.

Firstly, the method of selling your wedding dress is a modern way of refund. You invest in the wedding dress with the idea that you deserve to be so: you have the chance once in life time to be a bride, to experience this unique feeling. But after the event passes the whole journey of that dress stops. Or not? You think that after all you have nothing to do with it and instead of putting in the closet and let it there a couple of years it is better to sell it, even though you can not take the full refund for it.

Apart from this, there are situation when a woman gets divorced. And for that failure in the marriage the bridal gown has to disappear. Maybe one’s disappointment and bad luck can turn into a bride’s opportunity to happiness.

On the other side there are the future brides, preparing for the big day. Why would a bride choose to have a used or preowned wedding gown? From various reasons. One may be the one expressed for the very beginning: you see your mother’s wedding dress, you can modify it and adapt it to the nowadays tendencies. It is more convenient for you, as you save some money, you have a unique pattern of the dress and as well your mother’s dream and desire to see you in her wedding dress is an accomplished mission.

Another reason that stands at the decision of one bride wearing a preowned wedding gown is the desire to wear vintage style. In other words, what is old is more appreciated. There are nostalgic brides that consider antique as something more than stylish. And to recreate theta pattern and style costs much more as you search for an old wedding dress.

Lastly, there are brides that are in this situation for the second time or more. By this I mean that those women that get married later, they are now mature and have already passed through this experience for which now it counts less the wedding gown. And so, instead of spending money for it they choose to buy something cheaper- used or preowned.
