Tunisia Wedding Gowns
Being one of the guests attending to a Tunisian wedding I was surprised to see to what extent a wedding celebration can go. Everything was revolving around singing and dancing, traditional food and beautiful gowns, all these lasting for an entire week. The guests arriving at the wedding event, the relatives and the closest friends were supposed to make their appearance in a luxurious way. The experience was quite unique to me, nothing that I had previously known in regard to a wedding event indicated any similarities to the Western traditional weddings.
Starting with the first step that included the signing of the marriage certificate and reaching the last night when bride and groom watch the celebration filled with music and dancing assisting from the height of a throne, the Tunisian wedding is performed in a lavish way. One of the things I was surprised at was the
Tunisian wedding gowns, beginning with the bride’s attire and reaching the luxuriant way of displaying the wedding guests’ outfits, one could easily think of being in the middle of an Oscar night of Hollywood’s special events.

The presence of the Tunisian ladies in the atmosphere of a wedding festivity is a reason to display once again the richness both in choices of expensive elaborately designed clothes and the rest of the hairdo and make up to match with the specific attire. It is a fact that a Tunisian lady guest spends a fortune to show her lavishly considered appearance into the ambient of traditional Tunisian wedding. Not to mention that the bride’s
Tunisian wedding gown is designed with sophisticated embroidery on an A-line style of a dress with long chapel train also decorated with crystal beaded embroidery revealing an elegant yet sophisticated aspect of a bride painted with henna carrying the traditional wedding symbols in their tattoo styles.

I remember that right after coming back from this Tunisian wedding I began searching through the web pages in the attempt to have a better perspective in regard to the Tunisian way of dressing a bride and there wasn’t not even one dress being displayed without the rich presence of intricate embroidery adorning both the bodice and the long train of the wedding gown. The dresses, be they with strapless bodices or the ones to have sleeves made out of expensive choices of fabric, are all designed to present a Tunisian bride dressed in the most elegant way having also expensive accessories to adorn their heads – most of the times tiaras made of gemstones are the ones to decorate the hairdo of a Tunisian bride.
The Tunisian weddings being held on the duration of one week brings the bride in the situation to change her attire for each and every day, for in the end to be dressed in the sumptuous white or ivory wedding gown that reveals her as the queen of the assembly sitting next to her king and assisting the entire celebration from the height of their throne.

Sounds like a great experience! I also loved my time in Tunisia.
The photos posting of typical Tunisian wedding gowns are great to see as well – something many tourists wouldn’t get the opportunity to see and enjoy.
