If you remember something in the conversations with your friends, since the days when you were going to school, you were talking with enthusiasm about the perfect wedding dress. As soon as you engaged and begin to make plans for the wedding, even if you don’t say it out loud, your greatest desire is to go shopping for the wedding dress of your dreams.
The classical gown
When Queen Victoria married with Prince Albert in 1840 in a white wedding dress, she gave the tone of the tradition that tells us that the white color is ideal for wedding dress.
Even though till then the wedding dresses were colored, after this watershed event in the history of fashion, “Code manners for ladies” said that “tradition has decided that white is the best color for wedding dress, no matter the material it was made.” White symbolizes purity, the innocence of the heart which women give to the loved one.

I’d like to talk a bit about colorful wedding gowns because I have lots of interesting things to share with you. For example, find out some great things about the red wedding dresses. In some countries, like China, bright red wedding dress is considered traditional. If in some European countries, many people would find the red dress as too bold or downright vulgar, in China red symbolizes happiness and good fortune, so red is found not only in the wedding decorations but also in newlyweds outfit. But in general, red is a more acceptable color for wedding dresses and that’s because people associate red with heart, with love, but also with special occasions such as Valentine’s Day. If Coca-Cola red seems too strong, you can choose a crimson or brick red.

Black dress can be considered very sober by some women, and only because we associate black with a funeral rather than with a wedding. But if you want an unusual dress for an unconventional wedding, designers like David Field created collections with black wedding dresses. But remember that the wedding is a very special time, and pictures of the wedding remain forever, so you could look back and not be too happy about the radical choice made in a moment of euphoria.
Blue dress is much milder than black and a baby-blue version can be a splash of color that your wedding needs. Blue dresses have become increasingly popular in recent years. The shades of blue wedding gowns are different from light-blue, baby blue, blue flag and to the navy blue. At Maggie Sottero you’ll find models of extra blue wedding dresses, especially in very light shades.
If you do not have the courage to choose a colorful wedding gown and the white wedding dress is just too dear for you, don’t give up in your dream of getting married in white, but put a colorful accessory such as veil, a tiara or a variety of applications: beads, crystals etc.
