Simple Wedding Gowns

Being simple is a property or a quality to belong to a thing or a person when it comes to his way of living, believing and behaving. Sometimes simplicity is related to beauty, purity, features that imply the using of truth especially when a concept revolves around the element of knowledge (as it is affirmed in the philosophical assuming that simplicity is a "theoretical virtue"). The word 'simple' is also the one to be favored by Christian religion in that it proclaims that God is endlessly simple and everything that belongs to religious belief has to be simplified, focusing especially on the things that are the most important.

I have a friend that by her nature is a simple person; I have never seen her being interested in the fashion trends of the moment, or in the updated hits of the musical charts. She lives her life in a total dedication to her religious belief, she attends her job only for the sake of her physical survival though she would have liked to follow the 'career' of a nun. At least this was her plan in our high school years, but meanwhile her parents managed to make her change her mind for in the end to get a job as a public worker in post-office stand.

Not less was I surprised to find one day in may mail box a wedding invitation for her wedding celebration. I have to admit that I have never imagined her getting married and have children. In fact I have never seen her in the presence of a man, not to mention to go for a date, although she is a beautiful, delicate young lady! But with her simple way of being and living she has never tried to look for someone who maybe in her vision would have made her life more complicated.

As I expected only looking to the aspect of the invitation's envelope, the wedding card was very simple made: two red roses with a pair of golden wedding rings were the symbols to decorate the front page of the wedding card and the wording on the card made me realize that the wedding was planned to be something very intimate and simple in its displaying. I headed for my phone and called her to thank you for the invitation and to let her know about my attendance. Although she wasn't much of a chatter, she thanked me in return and cast herself in a conversation about her wedding gown.

I could understand from the tremble of her voice that the thrills of the wedding planning got inside her being, whether she liked or not, but step by step talking about her upcoming event kind of soothed her excitement. She told me how hard was for her to find the simple wedding gown she wanted, mainly because her parents wouldn't allow it though the bridal sites with wedding dresses displayed a lot of such gowns. Finally she had to come up with some sort of compromise in order to please her family and yet to satisfy her desire of wearing a simple dress at her wedding day.

The dress they found was ¾ length-ed with slim strings as straps attached to a bodice made of chantilly lace and a skirt full circled made of chantilly tulle organza. She told me that it had the aspect of a ballerina dress but she was satisfied at least with the on-sale price and with the fact that it didn't contain any beaded or crystal-ed embellishments; it was all in one a simple wedding gown.
