Royal Blue Wedding Gowns

Royal blue is a tint that is met both as a bright shade and dark shade in the range of blue. By the mid-20^th century, as the brighter dyes became available, people were more tempted to think of royal blue as a brighter color. Supposedly the term “royal” comes from the times when a dressing consortium in Rode, Somerset, won a contest to make a dress for Queen Charlotte. That’s why the royal blue is known to convey richness and a touch of superiority. A combination of light blue and dark shades of blue with its subtle contrast creates a conservative but sophisticated look.

In other color combinations blue can change its look from elegance, freshness, richness to nautical and patriotic effects. There are different views on the feelings that blue color renders to people. For some this color makes them feel weightless, spiritual, calm, fresh, to others it brings a state of depression, but no one can deny that royal blue wedding gowns are of an elegance hard to be competed.
