Red Gown

Red  is about love, warmth, strength, life, passion, these are just some of the most known significance of this color, the favorite color of lots of women around this world.  The red clothing is  immediately attracting the attention of others and therefore a red gown always exercises a special fascination , immediately placing a gate in the spotlight. These reasons make from red a rare missed color from the  collection presented on the podium, whatever it would be  the season trend. Famous designers always give it lot of importance, introducing in their collection, at least one outfit in shaded of red, no matter the season.

Moreover, given the unprecedented show of Valentino at the end of the collection which marked his retirement from the fashion world, has fully proved that designers are fully aware of the impact of this color on a woman’s beauty. For the same reason, one of the color red is often chosen by artists for their appearances at social events, sometimes even red outfits likely to be confused with the color of red carpet they walk on.

Choosing a red bridesmaid gown, although not necessarily preceded by a conscious analysis of the impact that color can have on others, can be an important asset for any woman that wants to be in the spotlight with any price. Recent research indicates that, at least in terms of photos, men are more attracted to women who are dressed in red or at least an accessory for those dressed in red than other colors.  Study conducted by professor Andrew Elliot of the University of Rochester, New York, seems to confirm the idea that red is a color full of passion and the effects mysterious in terms of attraction, which the creators of items for Valentine’s Day  speculate since long time ago.

In the experiment, 100 men were involved in various age categories who were shown pictures of women dressed in different outfits. Men were asked to make a ranking of the most attractive women, according to three specific criteria: how beautiful these women seem, how much would want to kiss and how much they would like to have sex with them. Rankings were obtained revealing study because most men were placed on top of women who wore red. Relevant is the fact that different pictures of the same women have attracted interest in different subjects. Images in which a woman appears in red were placed on top of the deck, unlike other photos of the same women, in which red was not present.

An interesting detail is that many of the photographs were depicting women very attractive, according to the criteria mentioned. According to those who participated in the experiment, depicted women dressed in either red or women who wore other colors but they were framed by a border red. This detail suggests that the color red itself is one that exerts influence on men, in whatever form they come into sight. At this experiment, participated also women. The incendiary effect is not the same color and on women, as it turns out. Women preferences over those photos have not revealed any particular impact of color on them. However many women continue to wear red, counting, even unconsciously, the seductive effect of the red color.
