Mix the bridesmaid dresses

Any bride in the first place considers that fallowing the strict plan of a traditional wedding is now obsolete and has to come with something new, to improve its wedding concept. If not renouncing to the big wedding type, to having bridesmaids present then at least the idea of matching their outfit to be a distinctive part.

If not to match them then to mix the bridesmaid dresses becomes your priority. But this is as well a challenging part even though in a measure comes as a relief. On the one hand, this concept allows the bridesmaids to choose their own type of dress, to dress as they want to, with fewer references about the wedding concept and idea. On the other hand, this means a real aesthetic challenge for the bride to make it that way and finally, even thought the maids of honors will have each and every one individual style, their overall appearance to be in the same consent with the event.

There are many ways to succeed into your goal and mix the bridesmaid dresses. In order to avoid a mess, a chaotic and random choice of the maids of honors several aspects must be taken into consideration. One of it is the limit allowed, the decency line kept as reference, but not only.

1. Colors: even though you as a bride do not impose a strict single color for the dresses you have to keep a base. According to your wedding colors choose one as prime nuance. And the maids of honors will choose what they want, as secondary colors from this. This way you do not make a rainbow out of your bridesmaids’ appearance moment. So, if you have a wedding with yellow and green, either both of them, either one of this will be the reference for the bridesmaids’ choice: softer or darker nuance.

2. Length: at this cheaper you have the same two possibilities: either all the same, either a small difference between them. If one will prefer a tea length, the others should have short dresses. Do not make a too much gap between their appearances, as one with a long dress and another one with a short one. Or make proportions: half of them with long dresses, half of them reverse order.

3. Pattern: this part is the main problem. How to let freedom to your bridesmaids in this way and have a mixture of so many patterns? You have to find again a middle point: all with V neckline for example, all with corset and strapless, all with high, empire waist, even though the rest of the dress has differences in comparison with the others.

As a conclusion, many can succeed into letting the bridesmaids a free will regarding the outfit for the wedding. There is no need to impose strict rules, but being more flexible mean to ease your work as a bride, too.
