When choosing its bridesmaids I believe the bride thinks first to the most loved persons in her life. It can be her mother too, but usually the closest friends she has. For a moment the ideas of age is not a problem. But when choosing the bridesmaid dresses this aspect interferes.

As for the colors of course the bride has to establish this aspect according to the wedding decorations. But go with bright colors, soft ones. A too daring one, a powerful red or light green for example can make you feel less comfortable and appropriate for the occasion. Excluded are also floral printed dresses or split ones.

A mature bridesmaid imposes herself through decency and elegance.All things considered, for me mature bridesmaids are not a problem. It doe not count the age, but the attitude. And considering this, I believe that no matter the wedding type, the location and others aspects a mature maid of honor should act as she is, not to try to show her youthful aspect by wearing a short, split dress. After all it will look ridiculous.
