Ivory Wedding Gowns

Trying to step out of the limits imposed by tradition you want to find a way to satisfy both your desire and the one of your parents who have always seen you wearing the traditional white for your wedding attire. But you want something a little bit different, you have tried to persuade your parents to let you find a wedding gown that is predominantly white but has some traces of the turquoise colored fabrics (turquoise being the color chosen for your wedding decorative items) inserted in the design of your dress, but they have shown their disapproval regarding an addition of color in the style of your wedding dress.

Browsing further the bridal sites you come across a color that is not necessary white but is in the same family of white if one considers it to be related more to a tint than to a proper color. But either way, it exists in the colors wheel therefore one can see it as a color in its displaying: ivory. It is a white but that white which is neutral in that it incorporates the earthiness of light brown reflecting at the same time a touch of luster in its appearance. Compared to the brilliance of white, ivory has a little of white purity but it is somehow rich in its warmth slightly brownish aspect. Its effect is one of calming and used in the coloring of the wedding dresses’ fabric brings a note of understated sophistication contained in the definition of elegance.

This is the reason why your parents have decided in an overwhelming majority of “pro” votes in regard to the ivory wedding gown you have planned to choose for your wedding celebration. The natural luster of the ivory color comes as an elegant plus to the luscious aspect of the silk or organza or taffeta that a wedding gown is made of. Not to mention that you have discovered that this color works fabulously with turquoise – the color theme of your wedding and you can hardly wait to see how the bridal bouquet to contain the aqua-marine blue of your wedding flowers will look like on the over all ivory of your dress.

The styles of the ivory wedding gowns are the same with the ones you have found to belong to the traditional white wedding gowns, a lot of bridal sites offering ivory color options to the white color displayed as main color in the wedding gowns images. Thus A-line/Princess style, or full skirt (the one called also “the ballerina dress”) style, the column style, the Empire line and the mermaid style are all there to fascinate your sight and to bring delight to your soul, satisfied at the same time that your option has finally pleased your parents as well.

The one that has won the family vote is an ivory satin-made dress in an A-line of the style having embroidery with white sparkling pearls as decoration of the bodice-corset and the same embroidery motif to decorate one side of the skirt going down in rays from the hips and reaching the opposite side till its edge. The wedding dress appealed to everybody, they all being unanimous in the opinion that you will be one of a kind bride princess-ly shining throughout the evolution of your entire wedding day.
