How to wear a white bridesmaid gown?

Among all the duties a bridesmaid must accomplish, there is a problem that seems to be the most important of all. I am talking about the gown, her wedding array and in this article, I’ll talk in particularly about white bridesmaid gowns because this is a very debated topic. Usually, is quite interdicted for the bridesmaid to wear a white gown. But this is not anymore a rule since stores are selling colored bridal dress. You, as bridesmaid, can wear a white gown if the bride-to-be will wear a colored gown, let’s say red, emerald or even black (I’m more than sure that you already heard that black bridal gowns are very in vogue). As well, you can wear a white bridesmaid gown even that the bride will also wear a white dress.

But, there are some tips of how to wear it in order not to blur the bride’s look:

-you can choose a chic design of the dress which can be informal or more fashion-addicted like in the photo bellow. The blond girl wears a Grecian Roman white bridesmaid gown with golden accessories. As well, if you’ll be more than two bridesmaid, you can wear the same type of dress because the stores are selling this model with details in different colors (red, purple, silvery).

-if the bride will wear a white gown and you also would like to wear the same color, for not blurring the bride, it’s ideal to opt for a oddball look, not very stylish. For example, opt for natural make-up, nude lipstick, colored shoes or disheveled hair. Don’t opt for very sparkling jewelries or for very stylish hair-do. Is ideal to have a fresh look than being very coquette. Don’t worry because you’ll still go noticed. By the way, who said that a bridesmaid who didn’t opt for stylish look is not pretty or attractive? On the contrary, white means purity and goes perfectly with a fresh look which suggest innocence and mood for fun. You’ll be caught by the others as a playful girl, active and always bubbling over with high spirits.

-there is also the third option for a bridesmaid to wear white gown. As I said in the first lines, supply the coquette party look with a fashion-addicted look like in the second image. As you can see the dresses are very elaborated, fitting like a glove on your body. Even that the models from this image are all skinny (well, they are models…), even a plus size person can wear these types of dresses. For example, the first dress truly can be a wedding array especially for a plus size person.

But if you’d like to show a little more skin, you can ask a specialized dressmaker to create a V-line cleavage or even a square neck and the problem is solved. The following dresses are very beautiful for a beach wedding but also for a luxurious wedding thanks to the high quality material. In my opinion, the second dress is quite oddball, but if you’ll change a little the cleavage design putting a big flower instead of those irregular flounces, you’ll have a divine wedding look. What is your opinion about wearing a white bridesmaid gown?
