Even if you have other things on your mind by the dozens, there is one thing is best to start with, that is whether your wedding is taking place earlier in the day(casual) or in the evening(formal).

You must have decided already on the style of your gown , because it’s easier to find the perfect dresses for your bridal party, like the fabrics: tea lengh(above the ankle) which are quite versatile if the fabric is chosen well, knee lengh –also perfect; take into consideration their body types(tall/thin, petite, thick waisted, hourglass shape, pear shaped) and weight for the best choices. Depending on websites, it takes up to three months for your dresses to be delivered, and between four and six weeks for alterations. The bridesmaids and the bride gowns should complement each other, not really match. For example you might have chosen a vintage dress, then your bridal party won’t wear modern dresses. Make sure everyone is pleased with their dresses, which is very important because you want them to enjoy what they will wear on your happiest day. Alterations can be made so that will fit the slimmest girl, for example; then each one of them can bring something to their outfit such as necklaces, or brooches, scarves, bracelets. When you finally order the dresses, make sure you order for all your bridesmaids, you shouldn’t stress over it again, if they need it, email everybody with advice on the dresses and their arrival, have someone in your family to help you with details. Your bridesmaids are that cool, they might already have the shoes ready, so either that or let them find the right shoes.

You don’t have to do everything by yourself, you can ask your bridesmaids and/or maid of honor to give you a hand with what you have to do, they will be pleased. Also, don’t forget the mothers, they shouldn’t feel left out at all, so involve them as much as you can or like! It is a great way to start a relationship with the mother of your future husband, just if you guys didn’t have much contact till now.
