Celtic Wedding Gown Pattern

A Celtic wedding dress is a gown that feels like it has appeared form a beautiful fairytale. The medieval Celtic wedding dresses were white, cream, but also colorful; sometimes, the dress had a mixing of certain colors, like green, red, white and so on

The typical medieval Celtic wedding gown has a design that can not be mistaken with any other type of dress around the world. It had off shoulders with a low neck line with long sleeves that sometimes reached the earth. The dresses had a flowing design, they were not necessarily fitted and it gives the impression that a fairy is about to get married and not an ordinary woman.

The wedding gowns were either very simple, but there were also gowns that were adorned with beads and embroidered, details that made them look even more beautiful. On the head, the woman could choose to wear only flowers, but she could also choose a simple white cloth that was supported on her head by a small headband or “tiara” of flowers. However, there were also veils that were heavily beaded and which gave a special look and beauty to the woman. If you choose to wear such a dress or take the design of such a dress and make it more of your own, you should, however, make that gown be apart of a whole special ceremony; otherwise, you do risk looking like you are going more to a medieval festival than your own wedding. Therefore, you should choose a Celtic themed wedding so that people know what to expect.
