Personally, I’m not a finical woman, but sometimes it happens to want very much a certain design of dress and I cannot find it anywhere. How much I hate these situations when euphoric I go visiting the shops having in mind how I’d like to be my new dress and, surprise, my incredible dress made room only in my mind and less in stores. This thing happened to me more than four times and since then I decided to try make my own dress at a tailor shop. If my first dress was looking great, but the material wasn’t of so high quality (yes, I went alone buying the fabric), my second dress was perfect. And my next dresses custom-tailored were unbelievable.First of all, you must get informed. It’s great to take a glance on the Internet (wedding forums, fashion blogs, sites with bridesmaid dresses), but also, if you have time, visit some stores to make an idea about how you’d like to look your bridesmaid dress custom-tailored.
Once you have in mind an image with your desired dress, try to draw it, or if you find a picture, print it and note on it what alterations you’d like to make to perfectly dress your forms.

The next step is finding a talented and competent dressmaker. He’ll know if the model chosen by you will match your figure, he’ll also know what alterations must be done in order to have a perfect look wearing that dress. The dressmaker will offer you suggestions about high-quality materials and he also can suggest you what stores to visit in order to buy the fabric and other accessories like zippers, buttons, bows, ribbons, shawls and so on.
The last step, which is also the most important, is to collaborate with your tailor in what regards the fabric, but also your size. You must give correctly your sizes and also let the dressmaker to take your sizes. Each time when he’ll call you, you must went at his tailor shop and try the dress to notice what alterations must be done or what final touch you’d like to put on your dress.
