Black Wedding Gowns
There are fashion trends that due to the fact that they want to be somehow other than the usual, tend to bend more to the other extreme side of aesthetic, the ugly side exposing fashion ideas that do not fit at all in the patterns of beauty or honoring in some sort the human body. But again, is the option of choice we are given in this life in everything we do or think, therefore if one doesn't feel comfortable with the choice of extreme dressing, than the choice of classic is always there, defeating the passage of time through the displaying of everlasting beauty.

This is one of the topics I have developed in one of my conversations with my friend when it came to the choice of wedding gown. She was head over heals involved in the planning of her wedding celebration and because I wanted to take her out of that stressful tasks I offered to assist her in the tiring selection of her wedding dress. And this is how we have come across the black wedding gowns. At first, her mother couldn't believe her eyes that there actually this color has been adopted in the creation of traditional white wedding dresses, but we told her that this is what the French fashion designers do: create innovative styles in everything that belongs to the fashion department and as such, trends.

Her mother looked at us wide opening her eyes as if she heard us talking about something devilish and asked how was it there possible for a bride to wear a color of a dress that was associated more to the funerals than to the wedding celebrations. But both of us, my friend and I, reassured her that black is also the color of classic gowns as well, of attires that confer elegance and classy to the person wearing this specific outfit. And after all, there are brides in this world that wear this choice of color for the most important day of their life. Her mom said she couldn't even picture her daughter wearing a black wedding gown, though I had seen in my friend's eyes the sparkle of a thought of going for one of those dresses.
I knew that my friend wanted to have a wedding celebration performed more out of the traditional box, the one that opened the white displaying of dresses, of wedding flowers, and wedding cake, and instead preferred to open the Pandora box which displayed all the other elements that could present her guests an usual Goth wedding celebration. I looked at her when her mom was still talking to her and saw her disappointment in her eyes. Silently sobbing I heard her agreeing with the mother's opinion, but after her mom left she told me that she would plan a separate Goth wedding party to celebrate her event in a black wedding gown as she had previously thought of.
